About BVVA

The association is comprised of veterans of any era that live in the Blackstone Valley in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. It was founded in 1987 by a group of Vietnam veterans and was originally called the Blackstone Valley Vietnam Veterans. The Post was named for SSG. Joseph E. Fitzgerald, the only Northbridge resident killed in Vietnam. The name was later changed to Blackstone Valley Veterans Association to reflect the inclusion of veterans of all eras.
The group holds regular meetings on the first Thursday of each month at 1700 hours. The Veterans' Hall is located at 875 Hill Street in Whitinsville MA.
